We are seeking an absolute Senior Project Management Officer with a strong background in business development. Someone who is looking for a challenge and an exciting (entrepreneurial) experience, and who will support our client to build the bright future in the world of FMCG.


As Project Management Officer you will be responsible to coordinate the cross-functional establishment of the part of Sales, Marketing, Finance, Order to Cash and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities, will include;

  • PMO for the work stream, including management of deadlines, interdependencies, risks and issues – as well as escalation
  • Embrace creative approaches to overcome obstacles and escalate quickly and effectively when required
  • Tracking and updating work stream plans, preparation of status updates, running regular work stream / project meetings and ensuring actions and decisions are documented and followed-up
  • Coordination of end-state design
  • You will be involved in various work streams, flexibility will be required when to take the lead (e.g. work out principles, develop procedures, etc.) and when to provide input/review
  • Coordinate the phased transition of ~40 distributor markets
  • Manage the project activities from planning to cut-over for each market from our client’s perspective, to ensure cross-functional readiness and a smooth transition
  • Ensure knowledge and data transfer between local teams and teams for each market, working together with the Go-to-Market distributor transition team responsible for overall coordination, and the local teams on the separation side to ensure an efficient and effective process on the receiving end
  • Serve as a first point of contact for the establishment

  • Reporting to the Head of the Company (CFO) and VP's (reporting line)

  • Interaction with teams working on the separation (e.g. markets worldwide that will transition to distributor markets served)

Also, possible for freelancers. For this role we are seeking someone who has experience in a global organization with complex transformations. You will support 50% of the central teams and 50% of the work stream teams (50 to 100 employees). An enthusiastic and proactive person, who not only supports but also thinks along with management.


  • Bachelor’s degree of relevant education (Business, IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics);
  • 7+ years’ Project management (Office) experience, including strong people and task management skills, in order to thrive on a large cross-functional project
  • Sales/Business Development background, with broad knowledge of end-to-end business processes (Marketing, Supply Chain, O2C, Finance)
  • Experience working with distributors, and familiarity with global export processes is a must
  • FMCG experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English, ability to communicate in a logical, clear and concise manner. Dutch is a plus

Good to have:

  • Proven track record of delivery in program/project management office deliverables including governance, tools, resources management;
  • Track record in continuously improving the Transformation Office, both at a tactical and operational level;
  • Experience of managing deliverables within a complex matrix organizational and demonstrated capability in collaborating and influencing across such an organization;
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution;
  • Previous experience of Agile methodology, design thinking, and lean rituals will be an advantage;
  • Ability to collaborate and work across a global team;
  • Experience in consumer goods industry;
  • Experience managing a large and complex set of local, regional and global stakeholders;
  • Experience in presenting to and communicating with senior managers;
  • Strong ownership and self-starter but also a real team player.
