Unmanned aircraft are the future! YER Technology organised a Master class on this topic on February 18, 2016. In the beautiful Skybar at the YER Office in Eindhoven we welcomed approximately 70 professionals who work at ASML, DAF, NXP, Philips and others.
YER invests in its professionals
Menno van der Lely, HR Manager at YER, opened the programme with a brief welcome. Through the YER Academy and Master classes, we continue to invest in our professionals. In the spring we will organise Master classes in small groups about personal branding. Since there are many different nationalities working for YER, we also help our professionals with their Dutch lessons. A successful example is Albert Sancho, during the event he held a small speech in Dutch; "At YER I'm a person, not a number."
Dr. Hans Heerkens of the University of Twente took us into the world of unmanned aircraft. The carriage of cargo and the fight against enemy planes with unmanned aircraft are still in their infancy, but can be very important in the future. Hans talked about the technical, economic and social aspects of unmanned cargo aircraft and unmanned combat aerial vehicles. As an example he pointed out that unmanned aircraft can be lighter and more efficient than manned aircraft, because there is no pilot on board with physical limitations, such as fatigue. Also, there are no heavy pressure cabin and other facilities needed.
YER Technology also had the pleasure to welcome PROUD students of Fontys Eindhoven. PROUD students work during the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of their study at a company of their choice to put their engineering skills to a higher level. YER Technology is sponsoring them and organises various events and workshops to help them further.
YER regularly organises events with Master classes. Do you also want to attend? Contact Jeroen Gielens (Commercial Director), firstname.lastname@example.org or 06 460 964 48.
