About this vacancy

For the software development group of our client, a company in the Eindhoven area that sells vehicles, we are hiring a senior software developer to work on cloud based solutions and mobile connectivity systems for purposes, such as real-time diagnostics and fleet management/ telematics. In this diverse technical lead role, you are responsible for choosing controllers, defining the architecture, developing low-level software and interfacing/ integrating these technologies within the vehicles. Next to that, you can be involved in developing the software application layer running on these controllers. You will also work on the connection between the vehicle and the cloud, and the cloud and a desktop application. For the connectivity domain a Linux based embedded controller is selected and developed with C++/ JAVA. The department is involved from an early concept phase up to commissioning at customer side, following a V-model and ‘Agile’ hybrid way of working. Besides the technical responsibilities, we are looking for someone who can take the lead in our different IoT-related projects and who is good at planning, creating processes and guiding other (junior) engineers.

 

We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor/ master at least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience and experience with C++/ Java. Besides that it is important that you have sound knowledge of IoT-technology and wireless protocols.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor/ Master in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Technology or similar
  • At least 3 to 5 years' work experience as Software Engineer
  • Professional work experience in the field of telematics/ internet of things/ wireless protocols
  • knowledge of C++ and/ or Java
  • Technical Lead experience (guiding other engineers/ planning/ setting up processes, etc)
  • System mindset/ generalist over specialist
  • Proactive and assertive character
  • Independent work ability and also a good teamplayer
  • Passionate about e-mobility and automotive in general
