About this vacancy

YER is looking for reinforcement at the department of our client. As Field Service Engineer, for Powder Systems, you are responsible for the maintenance and set-up of the 25 kg and big bag packaging lines and powder transport installations. The installations are mainly at customers in the dairy industry and vary from older more mechanical equipment to the latest highly automated range.

Job description

  • Main task is to replace parts preventively on the packaging lines
  • The preparation and execution of the maintenance and service work
  • Testing, tweaking and commissioning of the packaging lines at the end of service work
  • Solving breakdowns on the packaging lines
  • Be the main contact at the customer (external) and communicate about the progress (internal)
  • Give user instructions and advice on-site to the customer
  • Arrange project administration, make reports and specify the required parts for service/upgrade

Agreements

  • After a 1 year posting period, you will be employed by the client

Candidate profile

  • You have at least a secondary education, Mechanical or Electrical
  • You have working experience with mechanical and electrical installation, within the powder process industry is a preference
  • You can read and understand PLC code, preferable
  • You have relevant automation skills (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.)
  • You are creative in solutions, with strong feeling for quality and safety
  • You have a professional and flexible attitude towards your colleagues and customer
  • You are communicative skilled, team player and share information with others
  • You have a proactive and pragmatic way of working
  • You are willing to travel within Europe and stay abroad during the weeks
  • You can speak and write English. German, Dutch and/or French language is preferable
