About this vacancy

Daimler Financial Services supports the sales of Daimler Groups. The objective of the „Business Controls Credit & Credit Operations“ team is to mitigate business risks originating in the Credit and Credit Operations areas. The team is responsible for addressing and leveraging audit findings in the markets. In order to ensure that processes and procedures are compliant with Daimler and DFS guidelines, focus is on credit training, top focus area initiatives and workshops provided to the Regions and local entities.

Job description

Your tasks will be:

  • Have a comprehensive overview of Risk Management and Credit Operations specific policies and guidelines
  • Act as interface between regions, local entities, audit functions and headquarter
  • Liaise with functional and regional Business Controls responsibilities, Credit Operations, Risk Review, DFS Compliance and Corporate Audit
  • Report and present credit risk related issues to the functional heads, and AI Board of Management
  • Address common audit findings to the markets, liaise with Risk Review and Cooperate Audit in joint initiatives
  • Create transparency on identified process weaknesses and support remediation as well as knowledge sharing across regions
  • Develop trainings on top focus area topics to ensure a globally aligned credit risk approach and common global understanding of credit processes and procedures in cooperation with the Risk Management Policies & Procedures team. Drive forward the transformation of the training modules and communication into digital formats
  • Accompany the CRC! roll-out, maintenance and enhancements with method discussion, e-learnings, on-site workshops, coaching and material for credit related topics
  • Ensure prioritization and targeted use of individual strengths within your team
  • Promote motivation for learning and achievement

Candidate profile

  • University degree in business administration or equivalent education
  • Extensive knowledge in automotive financial services, retail, corporate and dealer credit business
  • 5+ years of experience with DFS or comparable financial institution, preferably in risk management, with a credit/operations background
  • Comprehensive knowledge of credit approval processes, financial analysis, rating and regulations
  • Existing network within a credit/operations organization
  • Persuasive personality with understanding of different requirements of internal stakeholders of all levels
  • Structured and process-driven, good understanding of system landscape (e.g. CRC!, GPD) and experienced in process design
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Intercultural openness and flexibility
  • Team player with service attitude
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Project management skills, experience in audit procedures and/or quality management would be ideal
  • Fluent in German and English, additional languages beneficial
  • Willingness to travel
