NVH & Validation, subgroup of Engine Integration and Validation within Engine Development!
Job description
- Work out a test plan in cooperation with the requestor
- Vibration test the requested engine components for resistance against fatigue
- Testing is done with vibration sensors, strain gauges or other sensors and a LMS testlab data acquisition system
- Analyse the measurements and compare them with specifications if applicable
- Analyse and report the test results in a report in english including recommendations
- Present the results to the (internal) client
- Build up own knowledge to required level and contribute to improvement of group efficiency and knowledge

The NVH & Validation group consists of two teams: The NVH team performs noise and vibration measurements on heavy duty diesel engines in development. The validation team attends long term endurance tests of engines and performes a detailed rating of all engine parts afterwards. There is a vacant place in the NVH team (noise, vibration and harshness).

Candidate profile
- level of education: HBO/TU, mechanical engineering
- good level of understanding in English and Dutch.
- experience in NVH testing is preferred
- knowledge of mechanical fatigue is preferred
- knowledge of Matlab is preferred
- Accurate, honest, exact, analytic mind, resistant against stress, team player, good communicating skills
