Job description

As a diagnostic calibration engineer you will be part of a team which calibrates both legally and internally required OBD diagnostics for our heavy duty truck engines. This vacancy focuses on aftertreatment related diagnostics specifically.

Your tasks:

  • Develop heavy duty diesel engines with focus on legal compliance and minimal false fails
  • Diagnostic calibration on new proto engines & aftertreatment systems
  • On-engine testing, in engine testcells and/or on vehicles
  • Support in the development of new diagnostics for new components
  • Support in the development and calibration of workshop diagnostics
  • Analyze and solve issues reported from the field
  • Take part in multi-disciplinary teams during various stages of engine development projects
  • Documentation of test results, tool usage and possible improvements
  • Take initiative to constantly improve tools and processes
  • As a diagnostic calibration engineer you will report to the Engineering Supervisor of the Diagnostic Calibration team.

Candidate profile

  • Master’s degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Close affinity with diagnostic calibration
  • Engine testing experience, preferably on heavy duty truck engines
  • Affinity with working in projects
  • Comfortable with handling data, Matlab experience is an asset
  • Experience with ATI / Inca
  • Experience with Six Sigma related processes is an asset
