About this vacancy

As a Quality Engineer, you play a key role in quality assurance within engineering and production. You develop working methods and quality requirements and draw up plans to control production operations effectively and efficiently. In case of product changes or reported deviations, you perform root cause analysis and implement new quality and process control techniques. Furthermore, you are involved in setting up and providing training on quality and improvement techniques.

Job description

  • Develop and set up working methods and quality standards to enable engineering data to be created to match customer, internal Production and/or Supply Chain requirements
  • Facilitate/participate in FMEA sessions and ensure data is managed and updated by responsible departments following product changes or reported deviations
  • In consultation with Engineering and Operations, determining Product/Process Key Characteristics and supporting the establishment of process control in the production environment
  • Preparation of Quality Control Plans for effective and efficient control/inspection of production operations
  • Supervise (KT facilitator) and perform root cause analysis following non-conformances and customer complaints
  • Implement new or modified quality or process control techniques

Candidate profile

  • At least a HBO/Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Several years of relevant work experience in the field of quality assurance within Engineering and/or Production
  • Knowledge of quality systems and quality improvement methodologies (Advanced Quality Tools: APQP/ FMEAs/ Quality Control Plan/ Key Characteristic's/ Process Capabilities)
  • Experienced in performing root cause analysis, preferably Kepner Tregoe method (PSDM, coach, facilitator)
  • Good communication skills (English)
