The results they achieve make a big difference on the profitability of the company. By working together with their suppliers they continuously strive to improve performance, optimize costs and ensure that their products have a competitive advantage over their competitors.
This interim position is a replacement for maternity leave.
We are looking for a bright, energetic and enthusiastic procurement professional to join the Global Packaging Procurement Category team. Within this team you will have the opportunity to really make a difference and shape the future of packaging within the company. The Category Procurement Manager Metal Cans develops and drives global procurement category strategies; aligning business needs and consumer requirements with supply market capabilities driving long term value for FrieslandCampina.
As Global Category Manager Metal Cans you will be responsible for the sourcing of tinplate and finished metal cans globally. You will set-up and drive strategic long-range plans in close cooperation with business procurement colleagues globally and get commitment from stakeholders. The spend responsibility will be around €250 Mio per year. The complexity of this role lies in the challenging supplier landscape and the large number of stakeholders who are situated across production plants globally. You will identify and realize opportunities within the category/portfolio to reduce overall total costs, secure contingency, drive open innovation and manage sustainability opportunities. It is FrieslandCampina’s ambition to lead with sustainability and to make all packaging globally fully recyclable / CO2 neutral. You will drive their sustainability efforts across packaging formats and engage suppliers to lead with them on this journey.
Because of the oligopolistic supply markets characteristics, make-or-buy studies are key to give insights in future opportunities, reducing supply risks and total cost of ownership.
You will identify value drivers in the supply chain, set up should cost models, coordinate tenders together with the responsible S2C buyers and actively identify and drive top-line growth opportunities.
Responsibilities are in the area of: Category Management, Strategic Sourcing Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Program Management, Thought Leadership, Financial Management and Stakeholder Management.
