IT & Telecom
About this vacancy
As an ICT Architect, you take care of the design of the right ICT solutions for your project or product. Within our E&M application landscape SAP/iMRO, Maintenix and Opentext/Documentum are core systems, supplemented by specific supplier systems. As our E&M organizations have a long history, some functions are in mainframe legacy systems, that are being migrated to our core solutions. In Digitizing, we unlock these systems with mobile solutions based on APIs via Cordova/Ionic or SAP Fiori. To facilitate short term improvements, we make use of RPA solutions and low-code platforms.
As an ICT architect, you translate the functional and non-functional requirements of our E&M client into a suitable solution.
You do this in a transparent manner, based on the direction indicated by the reference architectures and operational guidelines. Based on your architectural decisions, you model your solution in a Design/Solution Intent (using a.o. Archimate and Sparxx EA) and manage its approval in the architecture board. Your design enables the developers to realize the software, the ICT specialists to set up the necessary infrastructure, and the service specialists to arrange the end-to-end service.
During the realization, you monitor and support the teams that realize your design until delivery. You communicate with many specialists and stakeholders - both internal and external - and also with Air France colleagues. As a member of the architecture team, you also contribute to the setting up of reference architectures.
For Air France Industries / KLM Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) it is important to have a flexible IT landscape that fits with the needs of the strategic objectives. The world of aircraft maintenance is constantly changing. Core processes require continuous optimization (amongst others through Digitization). Predictive maintenance (facilitated by Big Data) is playing an increasingly important role. Market changes require better integration with subsidiaries, suppliers and customers and greater flexibility and transparency in the logistics process. Data and data management are crucial for real time insights, continuous process flows and business analytics.
The IT organization responds to this by approaching the development of the application landscape from modern architectural principles, anticipating customer demand by means of reference architectures and using agile principles based on the SAFe framework.
You will be employed by YER and seconded to KLM. We offer:
- Good employee benefits
- Challenging assignments
- Excellent guidance from your consultant and YER's back office
- Development opportunities, including the YER Talent Development Programme with a personal coach
- Intensive support for international candidates (including Dutch lessons, tax-return and accommodation assistance)
- Cooperative and results and relationship-driven
- Friendly atmosphere and open culture
- Community/network with other technology professionals from a variety of multinationals
- Events and master classes with interesting speakers and attractive companies
For this assignment, we are looking for someone with good generic solution shaping skills, in a landscape with a mix of large COTS solutions and home-brewn solutions.
Airfrance KLM is looking to move its full application landscape to the cloud (be it Azure, self-hosted Software Defined Data centre of vendor offered SaaS). As preparations for that, the complete landscape needs to be analysed in detail and assessed for the most appropriate migration scenario. This will require a lot of information gathering, communication with stakeholders and alignment with cloud migration directives. You will support the responsible domain architect in this effort.
The majority of your assignment will concern this assessment. But other assignments could also be on the table.
This assignment requires excellent communication and influencing skills.
