Job description

As an Operational Planner at this yachtbuilder you will work within a strongly developing and growing organization in a project team in one of our departments. Here you take care of, among other things, the planning of the information provision, including hours, activities of own project personnel, and activities of subcontractors. You and your colleagues are a link in the realization of one of our self-designed and built super yachts. As an Operational Planner, you are mainly concerned with the progress and quality assurance within the project (the luxury yacht) and you also work closely with the specialists in the department. Furthermore, your tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Consulting and coordinating the progress with the senior engineers and the project manager Engineering (PME)
  • Supporting the Projectmanager in project coordination
  • Monitoring internal deadlines but also external parties
  • Advising and monitoring the Engineering capacity of the department
  • Drawing up schedules based on independently obtained information (project planning, project calculations, occupancy overviews and hour statistics)
  • Processing current developments in the planning
  • Signaling developments that influence the planning
  • Providing insight into bottlenecks that hinder the progress of the project
  • The solicited and unsolicited proposals of practical solutions for project management issues

Candidate profile

  • A technical Bachelor or Master education
  • Preferably knowledge / experience within ship / yacht building
  • Knowledge of business processes and project activities
  • Experience with MS-Project and Power BI is an advantage
  • Analytically very strong
  • Affinity with project management (risk management and/or quality)
  • Self-reliant and self-motivated team player
  • Good command of the English language (word and writing)
