'At YER they do what they say they will.'
Rob van den Nieuwenhof
Research Scientist Automotive Powertrains, TNO
Rob van den Nieuwenhof was working on mopeds when he was still a kid. After studying Automotive Engineering at a technical college, he went on to earn his Master's at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He was still a student when we first came in contact, which is how we knew at once that he was perfect for the position of Research Scientist Automotive Powertrains at TNO.
Rob on his work…
'At TNO we want to know where we will stand in terms of mobility in 20 years. What will the market demand? What will the requirements be -- and will we have discovered the "holy grail" of fuel by then? I feel it is important to make a contribution to sustainable transportation, and I would be thrilled if I manage to put a few of our technical innovations onto the market.'
…and on YER
'I feel comfortable at YER because the employees are genuine and easy to get along with. They also had an attractive offer for me with the TNO position. At YER they do what they say they will. That's very important to me. The interview was on Friday, and I was able to start the very next Monday! Now I have a short meeting with my account manager once every three months. For me it's sufficient for us to keep each other up to date.'
