Registering and personal page

What happens once registered with YER?
Your personal data will be entered into our database. You can directly apply to any of our job postings, while being able to manage and update your data through your personal page. Once registered it is possible to log in with your e-mail address and password. (Register and log in by clicking the link top right on the website)

Is my CV entered in the YER database once registered?
Your personal data will be entered into our database and you will be able to directly apply to any of our job postings. It is also possible to make use of our job e-mail service and RSS-feeds. Weekly updates on any relevant job postings will be sent via e-mail. (Please also refer to 'job e-mail service' and 'RSS-feeds').

How do I log in?
Please log in and enter a password of your own choosing by clicking the link 'log in' top right of the web page.

I am already registered with YER. What do I need to do to log in?
On the home page please click 'log in' (top right). You can enter your e-mail address and password to log in. Forgotten your password? Please click 'Forgot password' and enter your e-mail address. We will send you your password by e-mail.

I forgot my password, what should I do?
Please click on the link 'log in' top right of the page. Please click 'Forgot password' and enter your e-mail address. We will send you your password by e-mail.

I cannot log in
To make optimal use of our website it is required to accept cookies and have JavaScript activated. Please check your internet browser settings. Should you still continue to have difficulties logging in, please mail our help desk at helpdesk@yer.nl. (Please refer to 'Miscellaneous' to find out more about cookies and why it is required to accept these.)

How can I upload or make changes to my resume?
When you register with YER (or log in or out) it is possible to upload your resume (max 500KB) in one of the following formats: .doc, .html, .pdf, or .txt. You can make changes to your resume as many times as you like by uploading the latest version.

What can I do on my personal page?
On your personal page it is possible to pull up your resume and change your password. If your data is up to date you can apply to any of our job postings.

I want to receive recent vacancies per e-mail, what can I do?
You can register for the 'vacancy e-mail service'.

  1. Applying

    How do I apply for a vacancy?
    At the bottom of the vacancy please click 'apply'. Having clicked the button you will be asked to log in, or to register. You can give a motivation on why you apply for that specific role before you click 'apply' again. Your application will be sent to the consultant mentioned in the advertisement and you will receive a confirmation of your application by e-mail. It is always possible to call the consultant for more information about the vacancy and/or the application process.

    What is the time frame on getting a reaction on my application?
    If you applied to the job posting through our website you will be contacted within a week. If you require more information in the meantime, please feel free to contact the consultant at any time.

    I want to apply to multiple vacancies, how can I do that?
    It is possible to apply to multiple vacancies by applying to each job posting individually.

    What happens to my application?
    Your application and motivation will be read by the consultant, and judged on its suitability for the role. When the consultant is of the opinion that you are a suitable candidate for the role he or she will be contacting you to plan in an interview. After the interview the consultant will determine if your resume will be presented to our client. Before going to the interview at the client you will be thoroughly briefed by us about the company and the role you are applying for.

    How do I get feedback on my application?
    YER will provide all candidates with a reaction on their application within five days either through e-mail or by phone.

  2. Vacancy e-mail service

    What is the vacancy e-mail service and how can I register?
    When registered for the job e-mail service you will receive a weekly email with the latest job openings matching your criteria. You register for this service by clicking the button ' vacancy e-mail service', fill in your e-mailadress and criteria (job category, branch, region, salary). You will receive a confirmation email with your criteria and can make changes as many times as you like.

    Notice: with this service you don't register with YER, you will only receive the lasted job openings. If you want to apply for a job, you register via our site

    How can I change the criteria for my vacancy e-mail service?
    The e-mail you receive weekly contains a link. Click this link and you will be transferred to a screen where you can make changes to your criteria

    How can I unsubscribe from the vacancy e-mail service?
    The weekly email contains an unsubscribe-link. Clicking this link will unsubscribe you from the service.

    I have to make a choice between yes / no HTML. What does this mean?
    HTML makes it possible to change the design of an email. Spam filters often block e-mails containing HTML. If your email account has a spam filter, it is possible you will not receive our HTML e-mail. In that case we advise to choose for receiving our job  e-mail without HTML.

  3. Privacy

    When you register with YER, your data will be kept in our database. YER will use this information to bring you into contact with potential employers. Your data will only be submitted after first consulting you.

    It is always possible to obtain information on which data YER is keeping about you. You can request insight and indicate possible errors, suggest changes or request to be removed from our database. Please contact your local YER office on any issue regarding these matters.

  4. Miscellaneous

    What happens when sending an open application/update CV?
    When YER receives an open application the resume will be entered into our database. It is always possible to send an update of your CV when you are already registered with YER. When we have received your (updated) CV it will be used in all candidate searches our consultants conduct. It goes without saying that we will be contacting you once we may have a suitable vacancy.

    I would like to be deleted from the YER database. What should I do?
    When you no longer wish to be registered with YER it is always possible to delete your registration from our database. Please fill out the form through clicking 'contact us' on the home page of our website. YER will delete your data from our database. You will receive confirmation of this through an e-mail.

    I would like to send notice of relocation. What should I do?
    You can edit your data through your personal page. You data will then be changed in the YER database. Please log into your personal page by clicking the link top right of the web page.

    I want to file a complaint. What should I do?
    YER highly values transparency and openness. If you are not satisfied about the service YER has given you, please file a complaint. YER has developed a complaint procedure for this.

    What is a RSS-feed?
    A RSS-feed is a service which makes it possible for all new vacancies posted at the YER website to be also visible on your computer or another website. This allows for you to be kept up to date about the most recent YER job postings without visiting the YER web page.

    How does YER assure a discrete treatment of my application?

    What is a cookie?
    A cookie is a small file which is installed on the hard disk of your pc by our website. It contains information about you as a visitor of our site. A cookie reveals to us that you have returned to a specific page on our site. This enables us to assess your preferences about our service and to improve our service levels in general.
