Job Description

International company located in Hengelo

Company

  • Responsible for functionality of the Quality Safety Health and Environmental management systems
  • The compliance of the Quality system to the ISO 9001, Environmental system to ISO 14001 and the Health and Safety system to OHSAS 18001
  • Develop and implement new ideas related to measure and manage objectives and performance indicators for the management systems
  • Audit the company departments to establish the functionality of the management systems and report to the CEO
  • Make proposals for improvements related to functionality of the systems
  • Ensure policy, objectives and operational goals are compliant with each other and with business strategy
  • Develop constructive relationships with authorities, other Group colleagues and local business people
  • Develop "Best in Class" attitudes and practices in SHE to ensure future competitiveness of the business. Best practice transfer in Europe
  • Carry out the responsibilities (implicit and explicit) including compliance with local legislation e.g. In relation to the environment, health and safety
  • Be a pro-active member of the Management (LMT) team, including proposals and contributions at regular and ad-hoc meetings, to the CEO, and to other management as appropriate
  • Responsible for Health and Safety in relation with the Dutch law as called the function for Preventive Health and Safety coordinator
  • Reporting and investigation of accidents according to the company PLC Policy

Candidate Profile

  • The job requires a graduate with appropriate technical and/or business qualifications, ideally with Q-HSE knowledge and chemical technology
  • A thorough understanding of technical to business to business is necessary, as is financial knowledge and, at least, two years of experience of “company” management
  • The job holder must have communications skills with various nationalities and cultures
  • To speak at least two relevant European languages and Dutch is desirable
