Job Description
The Business Analyst, in conjunction with the European Concern Controller, analyzes trends, issues and opportunities to minimize risks and maximize organizational results. On the one hand you will deal withglobal market trade in cocoa were prizes are set. Risks are contained on the financial markets. On theother hand you will deal with production facilities and the supply chain of goods. The above mentionedresults in an interesting position, which combines dealing with futures, hedge accounting, valuta swaps,transfer pricing, risk and cash management and contacts with banks and brokers.

Delfi Cocoa is a subsidiary of Petra Foods. Petra Foods is one of the biggest Cocoa processors andproducers of (semi)finished products in the world, and is listed at the Singapore stock exchange. TheEU organization consists of plants in Germany and France and the European headoffice in the vicinity ofAmsterdam. Delfi Cocoa imports, processes en trades Cocoa products. Delfi Cocoa distributes theproducts that have been manufactured in Germany and France. The company shows a rapid growth.The European organization employs over 100 people, with 20 people working at HQ in theNetherlands.The finance department consists of 5 people. This position has been recently created in thecompany. The financial challenges in the global cocoa market are specific. The combination of fysicalproduction and commodity trading on the global financial markets (London and New York futuremarkets) are both complex and interesting.
